"My Promotion as Supervisor"

Mathwell Fernandez is our company Manager. One day at the end of my shift, his secretary called me and said “Math wants to talk to you at his office”, so I went to his office. I was really surprised when he told me that I will be promoted as “Supervisor” for a particular department, and then I called my wife and told her about the good news, when I arrived home, she surprised me with a candle light dinner. In a car park, I noticed a woman looked so worried. When I asked if all was well, she told me she’d locked her keys in the car but called her husband some distance away to bring the spare keys.
    On impulse, I put our my hand and tried the door, which opened right up. “Oh my God!” the woman said, “Quick, can you lock it again?” so I locked the door and went home.

"Gang War"

While watching an afternoon news, I saw my childhood friend who’s now a jail guard, being interviewed, he just witnessed a gang war as he rode his  motorcycle on his way home, he was also being hit with a bullet on the right leg by a 38 caliber pistol, he is thankful of his fellow policeman who responded quickly on the incident. When I called him on that very day, he just said “My wound is far from from my intestine, nothing to worry my friend, thanks for calling…”

A dinner with my wife

In a restaurant with my wife, I overheard a couple beside our table talking about proper diet. Then a fat guy approached them, he really want to get rid of his being fat, the wife then took a bottle of Solo Slim in her bag and read some on the labels. She also added that it is a weight loss pill that will allow people change those habits. When we arrived home, I tried to check on the Net, to gather more information about the pill.

Lost, and found way Home

Last night, as I’m about to go to bed, my cousin Nelson from Canada called up. He asked if I already have a gps systems, a global positioning system which helps and ensures you never get lost again. Because based on his own experience it really helped track their way home, together with wife and daughter in the middle of the forest while having a mountain climbing. He told me to purchase one and tell my friends how important this stuff is.

Our company manager assigned me to open the office everyday because he noticed that I always arrived early, so he handed me the key. As I about to go home, a street vendor caught my attention, he was selling a coin purse with key chain so bought one and hang our office key in it. The following day, I feel so excited in opening our office so I woke up early and hurriedly rode a bus, but when I about to pay my fare I noticed that my wallet was not with me and when I touched the front pocket of my pants, the purse that I bought was there, I really thank God because when I opened it, I still have enough penny for my fare.

Justice for my friend

A friend of mine just called me at home last night, he wants to meet me somewhere in downtown for he had a problem. So I told my wife about it and permitted me to go and see him, but when I got there he again called me through my cellphone and changed the venue. After a few minutes he sat beside me and start telling me his problem, I was really shocked when I heard the details of his story… He just killed a man, it’s because he saw him making love to his wife… And he needed some money for his fare to reach his province. So we went outside and look for some ATM because he is really begging me to help him, after giving him some money, he then took a bus and text me… “ You are really a true friend, hope I could repay someday” I then questioned myself if I was doing the right thing, I helped him but what about the man he just killed? He needs justice… I just hope and pray that where ever he is right now, He will come back and face the consequences of what he has done…

Surprise Surprise

Today is my knees birthday her entire family participated a holy mass. My wife and I wants to surprise them, so we bought a cake and an ice cream for dinner, but when we arrived at their house nobody’s home. We just thought that they are still at the church and we just wait outside for the door was closed. After 1 hour of waiting the ice cream starts to melt and I decided to call my brother on his cellphone, but I was really surprised when he answered because they celebrated his daughter’s birthday in a restaurant and I have no other choice but to go to the said restaurant and bring the melt ice cream and cake.

A roasted mice inside the TV

Last night, I was watching a movie at home. Then suddenly the television sparks and I hurriedly unplugged the TV, a smoke came out behind from it. First thing in the morning I brought the TV to a nearest repair shop and the technician found out that a mice was inside and being roast, he then replaced some piece of the TV, throw the roasted mice and I went home to continue the movie.

Security Guards in Action

It pays to have a burglar alarm at home, because three months ago a house beside ours was being robbed and took their jewelries, cellular phones, television and other valuable stuff. Then last night my entire family attended a party, I was surprised when our village security guard called my cellphone and told me that three burglars was being caught inside our house. It is because the alarm of our house awakes the entire neighborhood and the village security responded promptly and brought the burglars to the nearest police station.

A Wrong Descision 2

After three days, he came back to work with a very big smile on his face as if nothing happens, he didn’t know that the lady is already inside and very angry to meet him because the air condition that he installed were having some technical problems and exploded while her daughter was asleep and was hurt very badly so she has to go to the hospital. So I called my friend immediately and he hurriedly came home by plane.

When he arrived to the shop to settle the problem, he called his favorite employee and fired him, the guy really cried and asked sorry, promised not to do it again, but my friend is really firm with his decision, without any questions he automatically fired him. I really felt sorry for that guy but I think he really deserves to be fired because of his dishonesty. My friend was also thankful to me because he just discovered that some of his employees are doing something behind his back.

There Is No Place Like Home

It was a rainy afternoon, my cousin invited me to his place for it was his birthday, but I have to travel by bus because it’s 100 km away from the city and 1.5 km from the high way. In the bus, I noticed that beside me was an old woman who is about 80 years old she smiled at me and I smiled back, then she asked me, where are you going young man? So I told her that I’m going to my cousins house in a mountain called “TAGA-BUKID” meaning a person who lives in mountain.

While chatting she explained to me why the place is called “taga-bukid” because she lives there for almost 50 years, it was named after an old man who lives all his life in that very mountain. Then one day there’s a woman who was lost in her way for their family, because before there was no certain road in that particular place her way then she also told me that please guide me in the right way.

I remember when I was still single, I used to go to the mountains with my friends for adventure. One day while we were walking we saw a cave, so we tried to go inside and we we’re amazed of what we saw, a flock of bats hanging uside-down and beneath the bats a sparkling flow of water, we taught we found gold. But suddenly I slipped into the water and made them flew towards us, so we ran as fast as we could until we reached the exit of the cave then starts to hide beneath the streets. Starts to laugh with fear inside our hearts, so we went home. I could never forget that cave, we called it the “bat cave”!
