Sometimes Santa Claus commits mistakes
December 28, 2008
Every Christmas eve, I act as Santa Claus because my daughters will hang some Christmas socks and I will be the one to put some presents in it. Last December 24 2008, after having lunch, a cousin of mine visited our house, he bought some brandy’s and gifts for my children. At around 6:00 pm we finished 2 bottles, I was really drunk in fact my wife helps me to bed. Then midnight came, she woke me up and reminds me about the kids socks and to be Santa.
Early in the morning my eldest daughter took away my hang over I felt because she’s complaining about her present, she showed me her socks and to my surprise I noticed that I re shuffled their gifts. I just close my eyes and told them that “maybe Santa Claus was confused, because the color of your socks are the same”, next time each one of you will have different colors, after all “NOBODY’S PERFECT”…
Holiday on a rest house with my family
December 25, 2008Last Christmas 2008 was one of the most unforgettable Christmas of my life. My entire family spend it in a rest house of my sister, it is located at the south part and it’s 101 km away from the city. I really love the place because the behind the house is breath taking view of the mountains and beneath is the white sand of the beach. And at night time the small houses of the mountain looks like fire flies.
Then on Christmas eve, as I prepared our noche buena (midnight meal) the entire mountain were full of fire works, in fact I wasn’t able to light the fire works that I bought because I really enjoyed watching the colors and shapes of it. And on new years day, the same thing happened we just watched, eat and chat. Maybe next year or every year we will spend all the holidays in that the same house…
Street dancing in jail
December 18, 2008A street dance in a province was one of the worse dance I’ve ever witnessed, because a group of dancers were being detained due to their behavior. Majority of them were drunk and one of the dancers really caught the viewers attention because he took all his clothes off, and dances like a fool in the middle of the street. So the policemen grab him and detained the entire group for they have violated and facing the charge of “PUBLIC DISTURBANCE, and VANDALISM”.
A Wrong Descision 2
December 14, 2008After three days, he came back to work with a very big smile on his face as if nothing happens, he didn’t know that the lady is already inside and very angry to meet him because the air condition that he installed were having some technical problems and exploded while her daughter was asleep and was hurt very badly so she has to go to the hospital. So I called my friend immediately and he hurriedly came home by plane.
When he arrived to the shop to settle the problem, he called his favorite employee and fired him, the guy really cried and asked sorry, promised not to do it again, but my friend is really firm with his decision, without any questions he automatically fired him. I really felt sorry for that guy but I think he really deserves to be fired because of his dishonesty. My friend was also thankful to me because he just discovered that some of his employees are doing something behind his back.
There Is No Place Like Home
December 12, 2008It was a rainy afternoon, my cousin invited me to his place for it was his birthday, but I have to travel by bus because it’s 100 km away from the city and 1.5 km from the high way. In the bus, I noticed that beside me was an old woman who is about 80 years old she smiled at me and I smiled back, then she asked me, where are you going young man? So I told her that I’m going to my cousins house in a mountain called “TAGA-BUKID” meaning a person who lives in mountain.
While chatting she explained to me why the place is called “taga-bukid” because she lives there for almost 50 years, it was named after an old man who lives all his life in that very mountain. Then one day there’s a woman who was lost in her way for their family, because before there was no certain road in that particular place her way then she also told me that please guide me in the right way.
Family Reunion Last Summer
December 11, 2008We were having a family reunion last summer in a province where there is a place called “PARIL MOUNTAIN RESORT” it is really a cool place, you could relax with your family, enjoy their amenities, and the spectacular view of the entire province because it is located at the very top of the highest mountain of the particular province. The kids really enjoyed the pool and it’s man made water falls. On our way home, I was the one who drove our rented van because the company driver was really drunk he couldn’t hardly stand, and almost everybody is complaining the way he drives. And in the middle of nowhere I found no houses, no buildings only trees and lamp posts were there, then suddenly I heard a big bang behind us, when I make glance, it was our tire, so I stopped. The road was quite dark because it’s past 7 pm and few vehicles pass by, when I checked my cellphone I can’t find any signal, so what I did, I opened the baggage and pulled the tire then starts to walk to find some vulcanizing, but it took me 1 and a half hour to find one.
So I knocked the door and said “HELLO ANYBODY HOME…?”, but no one answered, I just sat and wait for someone to rescue me from the agony that I’ve experienced the whole night. For about 30 minutes, a guy approached and help me with my tire, I really appreciate his kindness,so we walked together back to the van and fix the tire.As I about to return the tools, I noticed behind the van that there is a large cloth covering something, so I checked and lift the cloth, I was really shocked of what I’ve seen because a spare tire was under it, I just laughed and said… “WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY…”
"STREET CHILD 2"
So together with the paramedics we tried to pull him out and brought him to the nearest hospital. With a small prayer along the way and with the doctors assistance the child was saved, I really thanked GOD for his goodness, for he heard my prayers. Then later on, his family arrived, with tears in their eyes, no slippers, dirty clothes and together with six (6) other children’s. So I asked the father about his job?
How he raised his children’s? He just replied, “I ONLY COLLECT PLASTIC BOTTLES AND OTHER JUNKS IN A GARBAGE AND SOLD IT TO A JUNK SHOP”… I can’t really imagine how he raised his seven (7) children out of junks. So I just gave him some money and the groceries that I bought. Then I told myself that I may have problems of my daily life, but there are some people who’s problems are greater than mine…
Phone in a bag
December 4, 2008In a food court, my father and my elder brother were having dinner. A table beside us is vacant but my elder brother saw a paper bag under the table with receipt attached on it, so he picked the bag and we found out those two brand new cell phones inside, each cell phone costs P16, 000.00. So we just continued eating our dinner and were planning to go to the customer service of the food court after eating. But after about 10 minutes three teenagers hurriedly come to our table and asked “excuse me sir, did you find a paper bag or have you noticed someone took a paper bag under the table beside you?”
Then my brother hides the bag and started to interrogate the teenagers, first he asked if what the bag contains? Then they answered, it contains a two brand new cell phone and each costs P16, 000.00, with the receipt on the bag the brand is Nokia. So without any doubt my brothers took the bag and turn it to the teenagers, they were very thankful and amazed when they saw the bag and the cell phones in fact they hug and kissed my brother.
Then they left with a smile. Later on one of the teenagers came back and gives us a half gallon ice cream with P500.00 pesos bill, we just took the ice cream for our dessert and told her just keep your money and take care on your belongings always. She smiled and “said thank you very much and god bless you all…”
"Dishonesty"
December 3, 2008When I arrived at the shop, that the same employee approached me and sk for a 3 days leave for he is not feeling well, so I just granted his leave. Without my knowledge he is going to the old womans house to install and transact without the company’s permission. He tries to do it alone so he could benifit all the payments by himself. Then afer a three days he came back to the shop with a smile on his face, as if nothing happens.
But he didn’t know that the old woman is already inside the shop complaining about his job and will trie to sue him because the aircon that he installed exploded and hurt her daughter very badly, so I called my friend that very time, and he hurriedly came home by plane to settle his problem regarding his employee and the old woman. When he arrived, the guy asked sorry and promised him not to do it again, but he is really firm with his decision, he gave him disciplinary action and fired him, while the woman sued him.I really felt sorry for that person, but I think he deserves to be fired because of his dishonesty… And my friend thank me, because for how many years, he was blind by his employees by doing something behind his back.
A WRONG DECISION
December 2, 2008
Last night, a friend of mine asked me if I know how to manage some employees in an air-conditioning shop, I told him “of course I do” in fact I just manage my grand parents small coffee shop. So in the morning we went to his shop and informed his employees that he will be gone for a week because his going out of town. After a short briefing he then left the shop. Suddenly, an old woman walked inside the shop, and asked if we could install aircon for her room, Because her daughter will arrive japan, so I called one of our employee to talk and negotiate with her for he is an expert of air-conditioning and other electrical works. After their long conversation, I noticed that the woman gave her a calling card, but when I asked him about their conversation he just said, that the woman was just canvassing and will call next week.
A GOOD CHOICE FOR A LIVING
December 1, 2008My mother is a real estate broker, ever since I was a child she keeps telling me that when I grow up I should practice or concentrate on real estate because this business is really good, right now I’m already 34 years old I really witnessed a friend whose in this business for almost 10 years, and a secret millionaire.
One day, he came to my house and told me his secret, he told me to take a look on the net, the Scottsdale Real Estate because there are lots of beautiful places and interesting ideas written on this particular real estate. And as I search through the net I also found theholmgroupaz.com was offering nice and wonderful places.
From then on, little by little I start practicing being a broker, and starts selling some properties together with my smart and talented mother.
